The Team

Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the LexCheck AI Contract Negotiation Platform to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team’s partner with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of LexCheck to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This Position

LexCheck is growing fast and we are looking for people to join our high performance team who are excited to make a difference. The Corporate Legal Operations - Principal Consultant will support the sales and business development teams by understanding complex customer business problems and requirements and translating those into solutions leveraging LexCheck’s platform. This position is based in either San Francisco or New York City and may require travel in addition to regular meetings.

From an externally facing perspective, the Corporate Legal Operations - Principal Consultant is a critical LexCheck representative with both our customers and sales partners. From an internally facing perspective, the Principal Consultant is a key liaison to sales and business development and many other teams involved in the sales process.

This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Director, Solution Delivery

Responsibilities

• Understand complex customer business problems
• Map customer problems and systems to LexCheck solutions
• Establish confidence in recommendations via product expertise, custom product demonstrations, technical phone calls, workflow outlines, RFP/RFI responses, product roadmap discussions & business process diagrams
• Deliver trusted, long-term, high ROI solutions
• Work directly with Sales and Business Development teams to deliver on revenue plan
• Build out custom product demonstrations with partner systems through configuration or API integrations

Basic Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
• 8+ years experience in legal technology role
• 5+ years of experience managing contracts and agreements
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Understanding of data privacy and data security in SaaS
• Record of business-focused decision making and counseling
• Work efficiently with a client-service focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to maintain productive work relationships and work collaboratively with legal area specialists to resolve issues.
• Ability to analyze legal risks within contracts, and know when appropriate to escalate, as necessary, for further evaluation or approval.
• Demonstrate good understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices and standards of contract administration.
• Superior interpersonal skills with demonstrated teaming ability to work well with peers, all levels of management, and external resources in a virtual team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high activity environment, and able to juggle many matters at once and quickly shift from one situation or task to another.
• Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally across teams with a team attitude that no job is too big or too small.
• Talent for thinking outside of the box in confronting new issues and pursuing novel approaches to old problems.
• Attention to detail, yet comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
